Pierce Lapham
Pierce Lapham is a recent graduate of Deerfield Academy and a current student of economics at Harvard University. Throughout his three years at Deerfield, Pierce was a member of the varsity hockey and varsity rowing teams. Pierce served as captain of the rowing team his senior year, helping guide the team to a NEIRA championship victory, along with a second place finish at Youth Nationals.
Following his graduation from Deerfield, Pierce was recruited to row at Harvard University and is currently a freshman member of the Harvard University Boat Club. As a student-athlete, he continues to balance a high-level of athletic commitment with a demanding academic schedule.
At Deerfield, Pierce also played an active role in student life beyond sports. From sophomore year through graduation, he served as a Peer Counselor, working closely with classmates to promote wellbeing and community support. Additionally, Pierce volunteered as a member of the dish crew, a team of students who worked together to wash dishes, sort cutlery and clear plates at every meal.
As a member of the mentor council of Mentors Opening Doors, Pierce brings together his academic background, athletic experience, and leadership training to support students entering unfamiliar educational and cultural settings.
