Shogo O’Connor
Shogo O’Connor graduated from Deerfield Academy in May 2025 and is now a first-year student at Yale University, where he studies Economics while pursuing certificates in Data Science and Japanese. At Deerfield, he served as a Peer Counselor and captained the varsity wrestling team. He also delivered a TEDx talk and earned Deerfield summer grants to lead volunteer initiatives in Toyama, Japan, focused on revitalizing the rural town of Uozu.
At Yale, Shogo stays active through finance clubs and spends time outdoors with the Padel Club and Fishing Club.
Through his work in Japan, Shogo has developed a strong multicultural perspective and a thoughtful approach to navigating new environments. He’s excited to connect with students from across China and help introduce them to the opportunities and community that make U.S. boarding schools so special.
